| The town of Monroe is located in the center of Adams County on Indiana State Road 124 and U.S. Highway 27. Monroe has great potential to attract residential, commercial and industrial growth due to its proximity with urban areas and good transportation routes. The Adams Central Community School system is located in Monroe.
Monroe is the location of the Adams County 4-H Fairgrounds, the highlight of summer activity for the county and young folks who participate with their 4-H projects. Monroe is also home to a new 22 acre, "project ready" Business Park. The park has lots available for retail, small business offices, or to meet small, light-industrial needs.
