Adams County and all communities therein will provide abatement for property taxes for qualified new equipment, new buildings and/or improvements. The ACEDC will help facilitate those proceedings.
Adams County is a part of BizFTZ, the Foreign Trade Zone program that operates in the eleven county region in Northeast Indiana. Businesses in Adams County that import/export can easily take advantage of the benefits of operating in a foreign trade zone in the Alternate Site Framework (ASF) Program. The ASF Program saves time and money, encouraging economic development an U.S. exports.
The Adams County EDC has three Revolving Loan Funds (RLF) available to new or existing Adams County businesses. A RLF is a federally funded low interest loan to provide gap financing for businesses that are unable to fully secure needed capital from other sources.
The ACEDC has established a solid working relationship with the several permitting agencies in the county and the communities. The ACEDC will help facilitate appropriate and necessary permits in a timely manner.
The Talent Initiative is an aggressive project funded by the Lilly Endowment to expand the “talent pipeline” needed to support growth of high quality jobs in the northeast Indiana region. The Talent Initiative focuses on a continuum of strategies from K-12 education to higher education and adult worker retraining – all designed to meet demand for skilled workers in the Defense/Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing sectors of the regional economy. Training Grants are available for high-tech skills and work certifications that are critical to a company’s success and to our region’s future.
The staff members of the ACEDC pledge confidentiality in all projects. Clients may allow the ACEDC staff members to share confidential matters with the local units as projects develop.
