Students Can Earn College Credits
2/17/2010
Bellmont High School students will have the chance to earn hours of college credit as part of the Early College High School initiative.  Starting next year, 25 incoming high school freshmen will be able to earn up to 60 hours of free transferable college credits.  The core group of 25 will have the chance to earn an associate's degree from Ivy Tech, but all Bellmont students will have a chance to earn as many college credits as they can handle. "They will be able to better obtain their academic potential," said Scot Croner, Bellmont Principal. "Early College High Schools allow kids to earn college credit simultaneously while they're earning a high school diploma," said Croner. The deadline to be a part of that core group is March 3rd.
