CLASS BEING OFFERED IN DECATUR ON SEPTEMBER 18
ON HOW TO START AND FUND A BUSINESS
Decatur, Ind. – The Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center is offering a course in Decatur on Tuesday, September 18, to help entrepreneurs and small business owners learn how to start and finance their business. The workshop will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room (Room 100) at the Adams County Service Complex, located at 313 West Jefferson Street in Decatur. The cost to attend is $25 per person, but a $10 discount is available now through September 13 for early registrants.
“How to Start a Business” is for individuals thinking about opening a business. The course will provide an overview of the critical elements of starting a business through a lecture-based format combined with participatory activities.
Topics include:
· Defining and assessing the business idea
· Requirements for operating a business
· Creating a business plan
· Legal issues
· Types of financing and strategies
Advance registration is required for this course and can be made by calling Sally Jackson at the Adams County EDC, 260-724-2588. Those wishing to receive the $10 “early bird” discount should register on or before September 13.
